62Los Cristianos is a resort in Tenerife south
Los Cristianos is one of the most popular tourist resorts in Tenerife in the Canary Islands. It has the sunshine, the beaches, the bars and just about everything that holiday-makers are looking for, so this is perhaps not surprising.
Los Cristianos is near to the Tenerife South Reina Sofía Airport too, which makes it easy to get to and away from for visitors to the island.

Los Cristianos
Los Cristianos described
Los Cristianos was originally a fishing village that back in the 1960s swiftly developed into a busy town when the sun-seekers descended on it. It was sheltered by the Guaza Mountain next to it and a natural sun-trap, which combined with its natural sandy beach was an obvious choice for a resort town.
Los Cristianos has kept on developing ever since and its harbour made it the obvious place for ferries to depart to La Gomera from.
Los Cristianos today is a thriving tourist town with many bars, restaurants, local businesses and large shopping centre. It runs into Las Américas and it is easy to walk along the seafront that joins the two resorts.
Of course, tourists who are looking to spend their holidays in Los Cristianos will need somewhere to stay and besides its hotels there are plenty of Tenerife apartments available for short-term rentals or long lets.
A regular bus service connects Los Cristianos with the rest of the island of Tenerife too and it is easy to travel all the way up north or to get to other resorts in the south such as El Médano.
